Welcome to
Liberty Working Dog Club!

ABOUT THE CLUB
Liberty Working Dog Club is a member of the United Schutzhund Clubs of America, and duel membership with the German Shepherd Dog Club of America.

The Club is the proud recipient of the 2009 Regional Director’s Award for the New England Region.

The purpose of IGP (formerly Schutzhund or IPO) is to demonstrate the dog’s intelligence and utility. It also measures the dog’s mental stability, endurance, structural efficiency, ability to scent, willingness to work, courage, and trainability. This working dog sport offers an opportunity for dog owners to train their dog and compete with each other for recognition of both the handler’s ability to train and the dog’s ability to perform as required.

Our members are dedicated to promoting and preserving the true working temperament, character, and conformation of our working breeds. We come together in camaraderie born of our common interest and enjoyment working with our dogs. We train twice a week, year round, as well as host annual seminars and trials. We are a not-for-profit club, and welcome all breeds.
